Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt the butter, if using real diary butter, brown the butter for a deeper, nutty flavor.
To the melted butter, add the brown sugar, vanilla and then the eggs. Mix until everything is fully incorporated.
In a mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt and mix.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients incrementally until they are combined together.
Line a 7×7 baking pan with parchment paper or grease the pan.
Optional- Add butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips or nuts or chocolate chucks. Approximately 3/4 cup.
Add the batter to the pan.
Cook for 40-45 minutes.
Cut blondie bars – approximately 2×2 inch squares. This recipe should make 6-8 brownies.
